We are pleased to announce that the 2013 World Shotokan Karate-do Association World Championships will take place in Liverpool, England on September 28th and 29th, 2013.
Information on accommodation and spectator tickets will be posted soon .

WSKA Championship Committee
The American Shotokan Karate Association will host the 2011 World Championships in Chicago, Illinois USA in September 15-18 2011. Competition will take place on September 17 and 18. Tickets are available online at www.events.org/wska2011 Tickets are $20 USD per day or $30 USD for both days.

ASKA was the host of the very successful 2005 championship. John DiPasquale ASKA founder and WSKA Director of Americas is proud to be hosting the World Shotokan Karate-do Association for a second time. "I think we put together a wonderful event in 2005 and I'm looking forward to another great event in 2011" DiPasqule said. The WSKA Congress elected Richard Poole as the new president of the World Shotokan Karate-do Association. Mr. Poole defeated John Hanratty the interim president. Mr. Hanratty has assumed the position of Vice President. The remaining positions ran unopposed. As of the 2009 congress the leadership of WSKA is:

The board also recognized the service of Mr Dirk DeMits who has resigned from the Board of Directors. "Mr. DeMits has provided many years of outstanding service to WSKA" said Richard Poole. "We are very fortunate to have had worked with Dirk and we are appreciative of his agreement to assist with managing the finances of the organization going forward."
